A free tree planted in your name for every order
I like to play with light in my paintings. By removing background or light sources, the subject can appear lit in a way that is quite surreal. Each painting is a technical journey for me. I am interested in colour, texture and light almost more than the subject. Still-life studies work well for me for this kind of exploration. I love the tones and textures of fruit and the play of light we are all familiar with on these items we may take for granted every day in our homes.
A love of trees leads me to take endless photographs when I am in the woods with my dog, Fargo, andthere's nothing more satisfying than watching what emerges when they are put through a process of digital collaging.
Like cloud busting, try tree busting with these images, there is so much to see between the branches.
As a new wheelchair user my eye level has literallygiven me new horizons. These collages are compiled from manipulatedphotographs I have taken with my phone and show, with a degree of humour, the things I can’t easilyaccess and have to be fought for through layers of need and new priority.
The Treesee collages lend themselves well to surface design. I have created a limited selection of sustainably produced clothing and homewares using these unique tree patterns.
Great as unique art gifts for nature lovers, bringing a bit of the outdoors in.
